Construction Contracting 101

Take control of your contracts and learn the risks involved with each document. In this course, attendees will learn the risks associated with entering into a contract, both before and after signing. Learn the important parts of contracts, name the parties who can and should be involved, and review basic legal terms that will help with overall contract understanding. Field personnel, estimators and anyone who deals with contracts can benefit from this course. 

Course topics include:

  • How to interpret basic contract documents
  • Key contracting and subcontracting issues 
  • How to control contract risks and obligations
  • Where to look for information in the contract
  • Which situations call for legal counsel
  • Expectations of each party in the contract
